The fact is that some religious denominations have used man-made doctrines to forcefully indoctrinate their members. Imagine saying stuff like their members shouldn't watch television, dictate how you should dress. How you should spend your money and even some go to the extent of how you should relate with your wife at home (almost close to say which side of the bed each of you should sleep)! Come-on, that's too much authority to leave in the hand of an institution be it government or religious.

The takeaway, never you allow to be brainwashed by anybody. Your relationship with your creator is between you and Him and no one else.

One of the reasons I stopped attending Sunday school in my church is that whenever I ask a question either it's answered to suit their interpretation or completely out of point. And if you insist on your point of view, trust me you would be given a name either you've backslided or you've a shaking faith.

Sometimes we mistakenly want to fight for God. The fact is that we can't fight for God Almighty. And He's not expecting us to do so. All to the contrary, He's ready to help us at all times.

Take the controversial issue of Job. Everybody would want me to believe that Job as a human being didn't sin in his words while going through his travail. It's true that he didn't accept his wife's ill advice to curse God. But for the fact that he could curse the day he was born (day created by God); that to me is some kind of disbelieve and spiritual breakdown. I get it, that as human, he was going through a terrible time in his life. But at the same time, he sinned with his words. How hard is that to see?
